أبناؤنا يغادرون لبنان، والبيوت تفرغ، وأنتم ما زلتم عالقين في وحول الأحقاد، تنبشون الماضي وتحوّلون جراح الأمس إلى وقودٍ لخلافاتكم.
أيُّ عارٍ أكبر من أن يكون أولادنا على المطار، وأنتم على المنابر تتقاتلون على قبور الموتى؟
لا تقولوا إنكم حريصون على الوجود المسيحي.
من يفرّغ وطنه من شبابه لا يحمي وجودًا… بل يشارك في اقتلاعه.
تتلهّون بالماضي لأنكم عاجزون عن صناعة المستقبل.
تتقاذفون الاتهامات لأنكم لا تملكون جوابًا لمن يسأل: ماذا فعلتم كي يبقى أولادنا؟
استحوا من وطنٍ يودّع أبناءه وأنتم تتسلّون بأحقادكم.
فحين يصبح المطار هو مستقبل أولادنا، وتصبح القبور هي مستقبل خطابكم، فأنتم لا تدافعون عن المسيحية… أنتم تدفنونها بأيديكم.
استحوا… قبل أن تبحثوا غدًا عن مسيحيين تختلفون معهم، فلا تجدوا أحدًا.

Our youth are leaving Lebanon, the homes are emptying, and you remain trapped in the mire of grudges, unearthing the past and turning yesterday’s wounds into fuel for your disputes.
What greater disgrace is there than having our youth at the airport while you are at the pulpits fighting over the graves of the dead?
Do not say that you are keen on the Christian presence in Lebanon.
Whoever deprives their homeland, The Holy Land of the Cedars of its youth is not protecting the Chritains presence… but participating in uprooting it.
You busy yourselves with the past because you are incapable of shaping the future.
You hurl accusations at each other because you have no answer for those who ask: What have you done so that our youth might stay?
Have some shame for a homeland bidding farewell to its youth while you amuse yourselves with your grudges.
For when the airport becomes the future of our youth, and the graves become the future of your rhetoric, you are not defending Christianity in Lebanon…BUT you are burying it with your own hands.
Have some shame… before you search tomorrow for Lebanese Christians to disagree with, only to find no one left.
