Arab Citizens of Israel Are the Only Arabs Across the Entire Arab and Islamic World Who Exercise Their Right to Vote Freely Elias Bejjani/October 28/2026
What Are the Differences Between Democratic Israel and the Muslim Brotherhood and Leftist Cancer That Weeps Over “Genocide” While Slaughtering Its Own People?
In practical terms, Arab citizens of Israel, who make up approximately 20% of the population, are arguably the only Arabs across the Arab and Islamic world who exercise their right to vote, establish political parties, and enjoy political rights comparable to those available to them and others in Western countries—the so-called “infidel lands.”
How astonishing! In an Arab and Islamic world groaning under the yoke of kings, princes, dictators, and jihadists, with not a single exception, where there are no genuine elections, no free press, and no opposition figures who emerge from prison except as corpses, the stupid and destructive Left and the terrorist Islamist movements, both Sunni and Shiite, shout day and night: “Israel is racist! Israel is committing genocide! Throw the Jews into the sea!”
Then Israeli elections take place, and Arab citizens of Israel turn out to vote freely, becoming kingmakers who can determine who will become prime minister. They negotiate, bargain, threaten to withdraw their support, and secure ministries and budgets… in a state supposedly defined as “racist and genocidal.” Meanwhile, in their countries of origin, from Tehran to Riyadh, and through Cairo, Damascus, Algiers, Sudan, and Jakarta, citizens cannot criticize their rulers except in whispers, lest they find themselves in a prison cell or a mass grave.
This spectacle alone is enough to expose the lies. The Left, which weeps over “human rights” in Palestine, forgets that Arab and Islamic regimes are living museums of repression and tyranny. Political Islam—this cancer that branches directly from the Muslim Brotherhood—shouts “jihad” against Israel while slaughtering Sunnis in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen; oppressing women in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh; and turning every country it controls into an open-air prison from which its own people flee to the “lands of the infidels”—the countries of the West.
Yes, the Muslim Brotherhood cancer. It helped turn the Arab Spring into a bloody autumn, exports jihadist rhetoric, and views every Western democracy as an opportunity to “Islamize” it from within. Arab and Muslim migrants go to extraordinary lengths to reach Europe, America, and Canada, fleeing poverty, repression, and tyranny. Yet, once settled, the majority allegedly begin demanding that these countries be transformed into distorted versions of the very countries they fled: compulsory hijab, Sharia law, gender segregation, and rejection of any criticism of Islam. Someone once asked with bitter sarcasm: If you succeed in turning the West into Islamic states like your own countries, where will you migrate next?
Israel, with all its flaws and conflicts, remains the only state in the region where Arab citizens exercise their right to vote, protest, and enjoy genuine political representation. Meanwhile, revolutionary Iran executes protesters, Saudi Arabia carries out beheadings, and Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, continues to face serious challenges concerning genuine freedom of expression. Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Yemen… all serve as examples of a political culture that views democracy as an existential threat, rather than as a fundamental right.
They should be ashamed. The Left should be ashamed of glorifying “resistance” while ignoring Assad’s prisons, Sisi’s jails, and Tehran’s gallows. Political Islam should be ashamed of promoting jihad against Jews while perpetrating mass atrocities against its own peoples. And Israel, despite all the noise, continues to remind everyone that democracy is not an empty slogan but a daily practice—even when those exercising it are Arabs living within the “Zionist state.”
As for the Muslim Brotherhood cancer, it continues to spread, migrate, and attempt to reproduce the same catastrophe wherever it takes root. The question that will always haunt its adherents is this: After destroying the West just as you destroyed your own countries, into which sea will you throw yourselves?
Ultimately, freedom and justice cannot be selective slogans. They cannot be demanded for one group while being denied to others. Anyone who raises the banner of human rights must defend those rights everywhere and hold every authority or organization that violates them accountable, regardless of its identity, ideology, or slogans.
