الحكومة اللبنانية تتقاعس: مخيم واجهة بيروت البحرية يتوسع
وفق صحيفة “النهار”، محافظ بيروت يوسع مخيم “البيال” على الواجهة البحرية بتعزيزه بمزيد من الخيم!
تقاعس الدولة بمختلف اجهزتها عن نقل النازحين إلى مراكز إيواء لائقة. تقاعس الرئيس نواف سلام عن معاجلة قضية النازحين في “البيال” و تأمين بديل لائق بمواصفات و خدمات
تجربة المخيمات في لبنان قديمة ومعها تغيير وجه البلد مثلما حصل في منطقة الأوزاعي وساحل قضاء بعبدا ( سان سيمون ، سان ميشال،…). مراقبون يحذرون من ان الحزب سيقيم في زمن قياسي نقطة ارتكاز امنية على واجهة بيروت البحرية قبالة مرفأ بيروت ووسط العاصمة حيث مجلس النواب و رئاسة الحكومة و مدخل بيروت من الشمال!

مخيم “البيال” قضية بدأت تكبر و قريبا سوف تصبح ازمة حقيقية. هذا مخيم يفتقر الى ادنى معايير الأقامة اللائقة. و مراكز الإيواء حاضر لاستضافة نازحي مخيم “البيال”. اذا لا داعي للتأخير. ومن واجبات الرئيس نواف سلام ابن بيروت ألا يتهاون في حل القضية، وخصوصا ان المخيم قد يتوسع في لحظة معينة و قد يدخل حزب الله اليه اسلحة و مسلحين. فالى نواف سلام نقول لا ترسل الوزيرة حنين السيد هذا الملف بعهدتك انت ابن بيروت!
وقف اطلاق النار الذي دخل حيّز التنفيذ منتصف ليل الاحد – الاثنين سيبقى جزئيا ما دام ملف حصر السلاح مجمدا وعالقا من دون اي اجراء حقيقي على الارض! اذا توقعوا هبّات امنية ساخنة واخرى باردة. ناهيك عن تداعيات في حال تجدد الحرب مع ايران!

The Lebanese government is failing to act: the camp on Beirut’s seafront is expanding
According to the newspaper An-Nahar, the Governor of Beirut is expanding the “BIEL” camp on the waterfront by reinforcing it with additional tents. The state, through its various institutions, has failed to relocate the displaced residents to proper shelter centers. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has also failed to address the issue of the displaced people in the “BIEL” camp and to secure a suitable alternative with acceptable standards and services. Lebanon’s experience with camps is an old one, often accompanied by demographic and geographic transformations, as happened in the Ouzai area and along the coast of the Baabda district (San Simon, San Michel, etc.). Observers warn that Hezbollah could rapidly establish a security foothold on Beirut’s seafront facing the Port of Beirut and downtown Beirut, where the Parliament, the Grand Serail, and the northern gateway to the capital are located. “The ‘BIEL’ camp issue is growing and could soon become a real crisis. This camp lacks the minimum standards for decent living, while shelter centers are available and ready to host the displaced residents of the ‘BIEL’ camp. Therefore, there is no justification for delay.
It is the duty of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, a son of Beirut, not to be lenient in resolving this issue, especially since the camp could expand at any moment and Hezbollah could introduce weapons and armed elements into it. To Nawaf Salam we say: do not leave this file to Minister Haneen El-Sayed — this matter is your responsibility as a son of Beirut.”
The ceasefire that came into effect at midnight Sunday–Monday will remain only partial as long as the issue of restricting weapons remains frozen and unresolved without any real action on the ground. Therefore, expect periods of escalating and fluctuating security tensions, not to mention the repercussions should war with Iran resume.
