رأى قائد معركة “فجر الجرود” العميد الركن المغوار المتقاعد فادي داوود في خلال حديث ضمن برنامج “مانشيت المساء” عبر صوت لبنان وشاشة VDL24 “أننا لسنا فقط أمام ذكرى معركة عسكرية (فجر الجرود) بل أمام معركة رسّخت وحدة الجيش والشعب معًا، وأمام مناسبة أرست قدرة الجيش على خوض معارك ضد الإرهاب، في حين أنّ دول المنطقة كانت تتهيّب ذلك.
وأشار إلى أن الجيش اللبناني طرد في هذه المعركة تنظيم “داعش”، لافتًا إلى أن هذه المعركة كانت الحلقة الثالثة الأخطر من عنوان الإمارة التكفيرية التي كان يعمل عليها، وعاد بالتاريخ الى عام 2000 عندما تعرض الضابط الشهيد ميلاد النداف للخطف وحدث ما حدث.
وتابع: “الارهابيون دخلوا الى الجرود من اجل اقتطاع مساحة منه لإقامة الإمارة التكفيرية، لافتًا إلى ان أحد العناصر الارهابية جُرح في المعركة، وأثناء نقله الى المستشفى قبّل قَدم أحد عناصر الجيش اللبناني كي يُعيده الى ساحة القتال ليموت فيها، وهذا الأمر يدل على العقلية التي كانوا يقاتلون فيها، فهؤلاء مغرر بهم .
ورأى انّ كل من يُشكك بقدرة مؤسسة الجيش اللبناني انما يُشكك بنفسه خصوصًا إن كان عسكريًا، فما من مفصل إلاّ وكان الجيش فيه منتصرًا، ودائما نُسأل في الخارج عن هذا الترابط المميّز بين الشعب والجيش اللبناني.
وعن قدرة الجيش على صدّ أي هجوم، قال: “الجيش قادر بحسب الإمكانات التي يمتلكها حاليا، انّما إن طُلب منه الانتشار على الحدود وحفظ الامن في المناطق الحدودية وفي مناطق لبنانية أخرى فهذا يتطلب رفع عديده وإمكانياته فما من جيش مهما علا حجمه يستطيع تنفيذ كل هذه المهمّات دفعة واحدة”.
وعن التمديد لقوات اليونيفيل، لفت الى انّ هناك أكثر من اشارة على توقف عملها، ففي السنوات الاخيرة ظهرت العديد من الاشكالات بينها وبين الأهالي، وعند كل تمديد كان يُطلب تعديل نظام عملها، ما يدل على انه سيأتي اليوم وتتوقف فيه عن العمل نهائيا، معتبرا انّ اشكالية ضبط الحدود هي اشكالية داخلية، والبيان الوزاري كان في السابق يسمح للمقاومة بالعمل بخلاف اليوم.
وقال: “مواقف الحكومة مؤخرًا تلاقي الاستحسان الاميركي وهو استحسان طال انتظاره، خصوصًا انّ هذه المواقف نصّ عليها خطاب القسم والبيان الوزاري، والامور تسير بالاتجاه الصحيح ويبقى تنفيذ قرار حصرية السلاح”.
ورأى ان ايران تحاول كسب الوقت في محاولة للهروب الى الامام.
واشار الى ان اسرائيل تنفّذ ما يُطلب منها في السياسة الاميركية، لافتا الى ان الاعلام الاميركي وصف الرئيس جو بايدن بالضعيف ورغم ذلك جعل نتنياهو يتراجع عن خوض عمل عسكري كبير، ما يعني أنّ هناك سياسة أميركية كبرى تحصل في الشرق الاوسط، وترامب يريد تحقيق الانجازات في عهده، وهو يريد من الان لغاية 2027 الانتهاء من جميع الأزمات كذلك يريد الحاق ايران في سياسته.

The commander of the “Fajer el-Jaroud” battle, retired Commando Brigadier General Fadi Daoud, said during an interview with Sawt al-Libnan and VDL24 screen, “We are not only facing the anniversary of a military battle (Fajer el-Jaroud) but a battle that solidified the unity of the army and the people together, and an occasion that established the army’s ability to fight battles against terrorism, while the countries of the region were hesitant to do so.”
He pointed out that the Lebanese army expelled the “ISIS” organization in this battle, noting that this battle was the third and most dangerous episode of the takfiri emirate project that he was working on, and he went back in history to the year 2000 when the martyr officer Milad al-Naddaf was kidnapped and what happened then.
He continued: “The terrorists entered the Fajer El-Jarouds to cut off an area from it to establish the takfiri emirate, noting that one of the terrorist elements was wounded in the battle, and while he was being taken to the hospital, he kissed the foot of a Lebanese army element to return him to the battlefield to die in it, and this indicates the mentality they were fighting with, as these are people who were misled.”
He believed that anyone who doubts the ability of the Lebanese army institution is doubting himself, especially if he is a military person, as the army has been victorious in every joint, and we are always asked abroad about this special link between the people and the Lebanese army.
Regarding the army’s ability to repel any attack, he said: “The army is capable according to the capabilities it currently possesses, but if it is asked to deploy on the borders and maintain security in the border areas and in other Lebanese areas, this requires increasing its numbers and capabilities, as no army, no matter how large, can carry out all these missions at once.”
Regarding the extension of the UNIFIL forces, he pointed out that there are more than one indication that their work will stop, as in recent years many problems have appeared between them and the people, and with every extension, a modification of their work system was requested, which indicates that the day will come when they will stop working permanently, considering that the problem of border control is an internal problem, and the ministerial statement previously allowed the resistance to work, unlike today.
He said: “The recent positions of the government are met with American approval, which has been long-awaited approval, especially since these positions were stipulated in the oath speech and the ministerial statement, and things are going in the right direction, and the implementation of the decision to exclusively hold weapons remains.”
He believed that Iran is trying to gain time in an attempt to escape forward.
He pointed out that Israel is implementing what is required of it in American policy, noting that the American media described President Joe Biden as weak, and despite that, he made Netanyahu back down from a major military action, which means that there is a major American policy happening in the Middle East, and Trump wants to achieve achievements during his term, and he wants to end all crises from now until 2027, and he also wants to include Iran in his policy.
