الدولة الغافية
لو لم تنقلب الشاحنة صدفةً أمام الحاجز الأمني في ضهر البيدر الأسبوع الماضي، لما انكشفت شحنة المتفجرات التي كانت على متنها.
وهذا يعني أن الدولة كانت غافية كعادتها، وأن العناية الإلهية تدخّلت مرةً جديدة لإنقاذ لبنان من مسلسل اغتيالات يُخشى أن تكون قوى الشر قد أعدّت له، سيّما وأن طبيعة المواد المذكورة وشدّة انفجارها تثيران الشبهات حول احتمال استخدامها في اغتيالات داخلية، لا في مقاتلة إسرائيل.
الدولة اليوم أمام امتحان مفصلي:
١- هل ستجرؤ على توقيف ناقلي هذه المواد، الذين يُشتبه في ارتباطهم بحزب الله، واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقهم وبحق من يقف وراءهم؟
٢- وهل ستجرؤ على مصادرة هذه المواد الخطرة والاحتفاظ بها، أم أنها ستعيدها إلى الحزب كما اعتدنا منها سابقًا؟
نحن سنتابع هذه القضية حتى النهاية، ونحذّر من أي محاولة لطمس الحقيقة أو التلاعب بالتحقيقات.
الخلاصة:
إن الشعب لا يوالي دولة لا تحميه.

The Sleeping State
Had the truck not accidentally overturned in front of the security checkpoint at Dahr al-Baydar last week, the shipment of explosives it was carrying would never have been discovered.
This means that the state was asleep, as usual, and that Divine Providence once again intervened to save Lebanon from a series of assassinations that the forces of evil may have been preparing. This is particularly concerning given that the nature of these materials and the intensity of their explosive force raise suspicions that they may have been intended for assassinations inside the country rather than for fighting Israel.
The state now faces a decisive test:
Will it dare to arrest the carriers of these materials, who are suspected of being linked to Hezbollah, and take the necessary legal measures against them and those behind them?
Will it dare to confiscate these dangerous materials and retain them, or will it return them to the party, as we have come to expect from it in the past?
We will follow this case through to the end and warn against any attempt to conceal the truth or manipulate the investigations.
The bottom line:
A people does not pledge allegiance to a state that does not protect them.
