Now, more than four decades later, he offers a personal history, a reminiscence of the world he left behind and the story of the life he created in America with his wife, Maura, as he pursued a career as a scholar and academic leader. He concludes with a heartfelt letter to his young grandchildren, offering them a message of hope as they begin their own journeys.
