لفت مدير المرصد السوري لحقوق الانسان رامي عبد الرحمن في مداخلة ضمن برنامج “بالأول” عبر صوت لبنان الى انّ “الاحداث في الساحل توقفت اعلاميا وانتقلنا الى جرائم خطف ومن ثم العثور على الجثث لاحقا”.واضاف: “نحن نتحدث عن 56 مجزرة راح ضحيتها 1500 مدني، وهذا رقم موثق وجميعهم من الطائفة العلوية اضافة الى مقتل والد رجل دين مسيحي”. وتابع:” هذه ابادة كبيرة فولا التحرك الاعلامي لإستمرت هذه المجارز من قبل الادارة العسكرية”. واشار عبد الرحمن الى ان الكارثة هي ان المجارز حصلت على اساس طائفي، لافتا الى ان المقاتل الاوزبكي سأل احدهم عن طائفته ومن ثم قتله، وهناك مسلحون دخلوا الى قرية في اللاذقية وقتلوا كل رجالها وسرقوا المنازل. واكد انّ ما جرى في معلولا اشكالات على الاراضي ، ولولا الخشية من اسرائيل لكانت هناك ايضا مجازر بحق الدروز. واكد انّ دولة القانون تقوم بفرض الأمن وليس بفتح المجال للعمليات الثأرية. وختم حديثه بالقول: “المعالجات من قبل السلطة السورية ليست جدية وهناك من لا يريد الاعتراف بهذه المجازر”.

Speaking on the “First” program on Voice of Lebanon, Rami Abdel Rahman, director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, noted that “the events on the coast have stopped in the media, and we’ve moved on to kidnapping crimes, followed by the subsequent discovery of bodies.” He added, “We are talking about 56 massacres that claimed the lives of 1,500 civilians, and this is a documented number, all of whom were from the Alawite sect, in addition to the killing of the father of a Christian cleric.” He continued, “This is a massive genocide. If it weren’t for the media’s involvement, these massacres would have continued by the military administration.” Abdul Rahman pointed out that the catastrophe is that the massacres were carried out on a sectarian basis, noting that the Uzbek fighter asked someone about his sect and then killed him. He also said that gunmen entered a village in Latakia, killed all the men, and looted homes. He emphasized that what happened in Maaloula was a dispute over land, and if it weren’t for the fear of Israel, there would have also been massacres of the Druze. He emphasized that the rule of law is enforcing security, not opening the way for revenge attacks. He concluded his remarks by saying: “The Syrian authorities’ handling of the situation is not serious, and there are those who do not want to acknowledge these massacres.”
