AL RAB YARANI – الرب يراني – God Can See Me Date: Saturday April 27, 2024 Synopsis: The first movie to tell the story of the Lebanese Maronite monk Blessed Brother Estephan Nehmé. It was filmed in a number of monasteries of the Lebanese Maronite monastic order where the blessed one lived, as well as in the town of Lehfed, his birthplace. An elite group of capable actors and more than 250 people participated in the success of this work, which shed light on moments in Lebanon’s history, most notably the famine in World War I, which Brother Estephan lived through, highlighting the role of monasticism in standing by its people in their ordeal. The film etches into the viewer’s mind the image of the working, active, prayerful, loving, simple, and courageous patriotic monk.
