ذكرت وكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية (وفا) أن الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس أكد رفض قتل المدنيين من الجانبين ودعا لإطلاق سراح المدنيين والأسرى والمعتقلين من الجانبين، وقال إن “سياسات وأفعال حماس لا تمثل الشعب الفلسطيني”.كما وصف في اتصال هاتفي مع الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية بأنها “الممثل الشرعي والوحيد للشعب الفلسطيني”. وبحث عباس، مع رئيس جمهورية فنزويلا، آخر تطورات الأوضاع الصعبة في فلسطين. وأكد عباس، خلال الاتصال، ضرورة “وقف العدوان الإسرائيلي على أبناء شعبنا بشكل فوري، وحمايتهم، والسماح بفتح ممرات إنسانية عاجلة لقطاع غزة، وتوفير المستلزمات الطبية، وإيصال المياه والكهرباء والوقود للمواطنين هناك”. وجدد “الرفض الكامل لتهجير أبناء شعبنا من قطاع غزة، لأن ذلك سيكون بمثابة نكبة ثانية لشعبنا”. وأكد رفض قتل المدنيين من الجانبين والدعوة لإطلاق سراح المدنيين والأسرى والمعتقلين من الجانبين، مجددا التأكيد على نبذ العنف والالتزام بالشرعية الدولية والاتفاقيات الموقعة والمقاومة الشعبية السلمية والعمل السياسي طريقا للوصول لأهدافنا الوطنية، مؤكدا ضرورة الذهاب لحل سياسي ينهي الاحتلال، كما أكد أن سياسات وأفعال “حماس” لا تمثل الشعب الفلسطيني، وأن سياسات وبرامج وقرارات منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية هي التي تمثل الشعب الفلسطيني بصفتها الممثل الشرعي والوحيد للشعب الفلسطيني.
