The Truth About the South Lebanon Army and the Amnesty Law: Does It Open the Door for the Return of the Exiles? Dr. Charles Chartouni Explains
Professor of Political Science and political writer Dr. Charles Chartouni, in a fiery interview on the program “Politics and People” with journalist Patricia Samaha, opened the file of the South Lebanon Army and those exiled to Israel, at a time when a new general amnesty law is being proposed.
Dr. Chartouni reveals the historical and security circumstances that led to the establishment of the South Lebanon Army, from Major Saad Haddad to General Antoine Lahad, stressing that it emerged because of the collapse of the state and armed attacks, and not as a collaborator entity.
