A Message to the Pope… or a Message to all of Lebanon? Ambassador Andary and the Cry for justice of a Community. Ambassador Antonio Andary did not address one message… But two messages:
A written message to Pope Leo XIV, And an unwritten message to all of Lebanon Questioning the meaning of truth, justice, and forgiveness in this nation… And the place of the Church between memory and the wound.
In his message to Rome, Andary demands mercy, review, and the right to defense… starting with the file of Father Mansour Labaky. In his message to Beirut, he reminds that faith is not silence… But rather, silence, sometimes, becomes a sin.
