خلال هذه المقابلة مع الكاتب السياسي والاستاذ الجامعي شارل شرتوني رأى أنّ الضربة الإسرائيلية الأخيرة التي استهدفت الدوحة لم تكن موجهة مباشرة إلى إيران فحسب، بل كانت أيضًا رسالة مبطّنة إلى حركة “حماس” وقطر، مفادها أنّ “اللعبة الازدواجية قد انتهت”.
وأشار شرتوني إلى أنّ “القيادة التركية، من خلال أجهزتها الاستخباراتية، كانت قد أبلغت حماس مسبقًا بعملية الاغتيال”، معتبرًا أنّ “قطر لم تعد تُعتبر حليفًا استراتيجيًا لا للولايات المتحدة ولا لأي جهة كبرى، وهي تمارس سياسة اللعب على الحبال، وهو ما بدأ يرتدّ عليها”.
وأضاف أنّ “قطر تحاول الظهور بمظهر البراءة، لكن الواقع مختلف، والضربات باتت اليوم ‘مسموحة’ في إطار لعبة استراتيجية مفتوحة”، لافتًا إلى أنّ “دور قطر قد تم تحجيمه، فيما السعودية تتجه إلى مزيد من الوضوح في مواقفها الإقليمية”.
وفي ما يتعلّق بالمفاوضات الجارية، كشف شرتوني عن وجود تواصل بين المخابرات الإسرائيلية وعز الدين الحداد، مشيرًا إلى أنّ الولايات المتحدة “ستدخل على خطّ هذه المفاوضات في المرحلة المقبلة”.
أما على صعيد مستقبل المنطقة، فرجّح شرتوني أن تكون “معاهدة السلام قادمة لا محالة”، مشيرًا إلى أنّ “الخيار الثاني سيكون حوارًا مباشرًا بين لبنان وإسرائيل، وهو ما بدأت تلوح بوادره في الأجواء السياسية في واشنطن”.
وختم شرتوني بالإشارة إلى أنّ “التصعيد في المنطقة سيبدأ من غزة، ليمتد لاحقًا إلى لبنان”، مشدّدًا على أنّ على قطر أن تُراجع الكثير من سياساتها في ضوء المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية.

During this interview with the political writer and university professor Charles Chartouni, he stated that the latest Israeli strike targeting Doha was not only directed directly at Iran, but was also a veiled message to the “Hamas” movement and Qatar, meaning that “the double game has ended.”
Chartouni pointed out that “the Turkish leadership, through its intelligence services, had previously informed Hamas of the assassination operation,” considering that “Qatar is no longer considered a strategic ally for either the United States or any major party, and it practices a policy of playing on the ropes, which has begun to backfire on it.”
He added that “Qatar is trying to appear innocent, but the reality is different, and strikes are now ‘allowed’ within the framework of an open strategic game,” noting that “Qatar’s role has been diminished, while Saudi Arabia is heading towards more clarity in its regional positions.”
Regarding the ongoing negotiations, Chartouni revealed that there is communication between Israeli intelligence and Izz al-Din al-Haddad, pointing out that the United States “will enter these negotiations in the next phase.”
As for the future of the region, Chartouni suggested that “a peace treaty is inevitable,” pointing out that “the second option will be a direct dialogue between Lebanon and Israel, which has begun to show its signs in the political atmosphere in Washington.”
Chartouni concluded by pointing out that “the escalation in the region will begin from Gaza, to later extend to Lebanon,” stressing that Qatar must review many of its policies in light of regional and international developments.
