وقَالَ يسوع لَهُم: «مَنْ هُوَ فِيكُم بِلا خَطِيئَة، فَلْيَبْدَأْ ويَرْمِهَا بِحَجَر
إنجيل القدّيس يوحنّا08/من01حتى11/:”مَضَى يَسُوعُ إِلى جَبَلِ الزَّيْتُون. وعِنْدَ الفَجْر، عَادَ إِلى الهَيْكَل. وكَانَ الشَّعْبُ كُلُّهُ يَأْتِي إِلَيْه، فَجَلَسَ يُعَلِّمُهُم. وأَتَاهُ الكَتَبَةُ والفَرِّيسِيُّونَ بِٱمْرَأَةٍ أُمْسِكَتْ وهِي تَزْنِي، وأَقَامُوهَا في الوَسَط، وقَالُوا لَهُ: «يَا مُعَلِّم، هذِهِ المَرْأَةُ أُمْسِكَتْ فِي زِنًى مَشْهُود. وفِي التَّوْرَاة، أَوْصَانَا مُوسَى بِرَجْمِ أَمْثَالِهَا. وأَنْتَ، فَمَاذَا تَقُول؟». قَالُوا هذَا لِيُجَرِّبُوه، فَيَكُونَ لَهُم مَا يَشْكُونَهُ بِهِ. أَمَّا يَسُوعُ فَأَكَبَّ يَخُطُّ بِإِصْبَعِهِ على الأَرْض. ولَمَّا ٱسْتَمَرُّوا يَسْأَلُونَهُ، وَقَفَ وقَالَ لَهُم: «مَنْ هُوَ فِيكُم بِلا خَطِيئَة، فَلْيَبْدَأْ ويَرْمِهَا بِحَجَر!». ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ وعَادَ يَخُطُّ عَلى الأَرْض. ولَمَّا سَمِعُوا، بَدَأُوا يَخْرُجُونَ وَاحِدًا فَوَاحِدًا، وكِبَارُ السِّنِّ أَوَّلاً. وبَقِيَ يَسُوعُ وَحْدَهُ، والمَرْأَةُ قَائِمَةٌ في الوَسَط. فَوَقَفَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهَا: «يَا ٱمْرَأَة، أَيْنَ هُم؟ أَمَا دَانَكِ أَحَد؟». قَالَتْ: «لا أَحَد، يَا سَيِّد». فَقَالَ لَهَا يَسُوع: «ولا أَنَا أَدِينُكِ. إِذْهَبِي، ولا تَعُودِي تَخْطَإينَ بَعْدَ الآن».

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 08/01-11/:’Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him and he sat down and began to teach them. The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery; and making her stand before all of them, they said to him, ‘Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?’They said this to test him, so that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, ‘Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.’And once again he bent down and wrote on the ground. When they heard it, they went away, one by one, beginning with the elders; and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. Jesus straightened up and said to her, ‘Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?’She said, ‘No one, sir.’ And Jesus said, ‘Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again.’]]

ألإِيْمَانُ هُوَ اليَقِينُ بالأُمُورِ المَرْجُوَّة، والبُرْهَانُ لِلأُمُورِ غَيرِ المَرْئِيَّة. وَبِهِ شُهِدَ لِلأَقْدَمِين
الرسالة إلى العبرانيّين11/من01حتى06/:”يا إخوَتِي، أَلإِيْمَانُ هُوَ اليَقِينُ بالأُمُورِ المَرْجُوَّة، والبُرْهَانُ لِلأُمُورِ غَيرِ المَرْئِيَّة. وَبِهِ شُهِدَ لِلأَقْدَمِين. بِالإِيْمَانِ نُدْرِكُ أَنَّ العَالَمِينَ أُنْشِئَتْ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنَ الله، لأَنَّ مَا يُرى لَمْ يَتَكَوَّنْ مِمَّا هُوَ ظَاهِر. بِالإِيْمَانِ قَرَّبَ هَابيلُ للهِ ذَبيحةً أَفْضَلَ مِن ذَبيحةِ قَايين، وبالإِيْمَانِ شُهِدَ لَهُ بِأَنَّهُ بَارّ، وقَد شَهِدَ اللهُ نَفْسُهُ على قرابِينِهِ، وبِالإِيْمَانِ مَا زَالَ هَابِيلُ بَعْدَ مَوتِهِ يَتَكَلَّم. بِالإِيْمَانِ نُقِلَ أَخْنُوخُ لِكَي لا يَرَى المَوت، ولَمْ يُوجَدْ مِن بَعْدُ لأَنَّ اللهَ نَقَلَهُ؛ وقَبْلَ أَنْ يُنْقَلَ شُهِدَ لَهُ بِأَنَّهُ أَرْضَى الله. وَبِغَيْرِ إِيْمَانٍ يَسْتَحِيلُ إِرْضَاءُ الله. فَالَّذي يَقْتَرِبُ إِلى الله، علَيهِ أَنْ يُؤْمِنَ بِأَنَّ اللهَ مَوْجُود، وأَنَّهُ يُكافِئُ الَّذِينَ يَطْلُبُونَهُ.”

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval.
Letter to the Hebrews 11/01-06/:”Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain’s. Through this he received approval as righteous, God himself giving approval to his gifts; he died, but through his faith he still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken so that he did not experience death; and ‘he was not found, because God had taken him.’ For it was attested before he was taken away that ‘he had pleased God.’ And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
