قالَ الرَبُّ يَسُوعُ لِنيقوديمُس: هكَذَا أَحَبَّ اللهُ العَالَم، حتَّى إِنَّهُ جَادَ بِٱبنِهِ الوَحِيد، لِكَي لا يَهْلِكَ أَيُّ مُؤْمِنٍ بِهِ، بَلْ تكُونُ لَهُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّة/Jesus said to Nicodemus: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life
Jesus said to Nicodemus: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
John 03/03-21: There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 The same came to Jesus by night and said unto Him, “Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, unless God be with him.”Jesus answered and said unto him, “‘Very truly, I tell you, we speak of what we know and testify to what we have seen; yet you do not receive our testimony. If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you about heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. ‘Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgement, that the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed. But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.’”
Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble. second Letter of Peter 01/01-11: “Simeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received a faith as precious as ours through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ: May grace and peace be yours in abundance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Thus he has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may become participants in the divine nature. For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love. For if these things are yours and are increasing among you, they keep you from being ineffective and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For anyone who lacks these things is short-sighted and blind, and is forgetful of the cleansing of past sins. Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble. For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.”
