بيان القوات اللبنانية عقب تأكيد جريمة قتل باسكال سليمان

صدر عن الدائرة الإعلامية في حزب “القوات اللبنانية” البيان الآتي:
بعد أن تبلغنا بأسف شديد ووجع كبير وغضب لامتناهي نبأ استشهاد رفيقنا العزيز والغالي باسكال سليمان، نطلب من الأجهزة الأمنية والقضائيّة التحقيق الجدّي والعميق مع الموقوفين في هذه القضية، لتبيان خلفيتها الحقيقيّة.
إنّ ما سرِّب من معلومات حتى الآن عن دوافع الجريمة لا يبدو منسجمًا مع حقيقة الأمر، إنما نعتبر استشهاد الرفيق باسكال سليمان عملية قتل تمّت عن عمد وعن قصد وعن سابق تصور وتصميم، ونعتبرها حتى إشعار آخر عملية اغتيال سياسية حتى إثبات العكس.
إننا في هذه المناسبة الحزينة والأليمة نشكر أهالي جبيل عمومًا وبلديّاتها واتّحاد بلديّاتها خصوصًا، كما نشكر كل الأحزاب السياسيّة الحلفاء وفي طليعتها حزبي الكتائب والوطنيين الأحرار، والمستقلين الذين هبّوا منذ اللحظة الأولى لاستنكار الحادثة معنا أشدّ استنكار، ونشكر أيضًا جميع اللبنانيين الذين اعتبروا هذا المصاب مصابهم ويعبر عن وجعهم بغياب الدولة الفعلية.
وبالمناسبة، نطلب من كافة المواطنين والرفاق والأصدقاء الذين تجمعوا في الساحات وفي الطرقات في محاولة للضغط على الجهات الخاطفة لعدم إكمال جريمتهم، نطلب منهم جميعًا ترك الساحات وفتح الطرقات وبخاصّة أنّ يوم الأربعاء هو أول أيّام عيد الفطر المبارك، والتهيئة لاستقبال حاشد لجثمان الشهيد بما يليق به، كما التهيئة لوداعه بحشود كبيرة تشكّل رسالة رفض لسياسة الأمر الواقع والخطف والاغتيال والقتل وإبقاء لبنان ساحة فوضى وفلتان، كما التهيئة للخطوات اللاحقة التي سنتّخذها.
وبالمناسبة، نتوجه بالعزاء من عائلة الشهيد باسكال سليمان، أهله وزوجته وأولاده وأقربائه وبلدته ورفاقه، ونعدهم بأنّ دماء الشهيد باسكال لن تذهب هدرًا كما دماء كلّ شهدائنا الأبرار الذين باستشهادهم بقيت في لبنان مساحة حرية وكرامة وعنفوان.
والمسيرة مستمرة دفاعًا عن القضية التي آمن بها الشهيد باسكال سليمان، ومخطئ مَن يظن أنّه بالاغتيال يستطيع تخويفنا وترهيبنا وردعنا عن استكمال مسيرتنا بقيام الدولة الفعلية التي يشعر فيها المواطن بالأمن والآمان، فقتل باسكال سليمان هو قتل لكل مواطن ينشد الحرية ويريد العيش بسلام مع عائلته ويخطِّط لمستقبله، ولن نسمح بتيئيس اللبنانيين وإحباطهم ودفعهم إلى الهجرة، وكما واجهنا في ظروف أصعب، سنواصل النضال دفاعا عن القيم التي نؤمن بها، والنصر دائمًا لأبناء الحياة وأصحاب الحقّ
LF Release after the confirmation of the death of Pascal Suleiman

The media department of the Lebanese Forces Party issued the following statement:
After we learned with great regret, great pain, and endless anger the news of the martyrdom of our dear and valued comrade Pascal Suleiman, we ask the security and judicial services to seriously and in-depth investigate those arrested in this case, to reveal its true background.
The information that has been leaked so far about the motives for the crime does not seem to be consistent with the reality of the matter. Rather, we consider the martyrdom of comrade Pascal Suleiman to be a killing that was carried out intentionally, with premeditation and design, and we consider it, until further notice, to be a political assassination until proven otherwise.
On this sad and painful occasion, we thank the people of Byblos in general, its municipalities, and its Union of Municipalities in particular. We also thank all the allied political parties, at the forefront of which are the Phalange and Free Patriotic Parties, and the independents, who rose from the first moment to strongly condemn the incident with us. We also thank all the Lebanese who considered this affliction their affliction. About their pain at the absence of an actual state.
We call all citizens, comrades and friends who gathered in the squares and on the roads in an attempt to pressure the kidnappers not to complete their crime. We ask them all to leave the squares and open the roads, especially since Wednesday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr, and to prepare for a massive reception of the martyr’s body in a manner befitting it. Preparing to bid farewell to him with large crowds constitutes a message of rejection of the fait accompli policy, kidnapping, assassination, killing, and keeping Lebanon an arena of chaos, as well as preparing for the subsequent steps that we will take.
We extend our condolences to the family of the martyr Pascal Suleiman, wife, children, relatives, his town, and his comrades, and we promise them that the blood of the martyr Pascal will not be in vain, like the blood of all our righteous martyrs, who with their martyrdom remained in Lebanon a space of freedom, dignity, and pride.
The march continues in defense of the cause that the martyr Pascal Suleiman believed in, and anyone who thinks that through assassination he can frighten, intimidate us, and deter us from continuing our path to establish an actual state in which the citizen feels safe and secure, is wrong. The killing of Pascal Suleiman is the killing of every citizen who seeks freedom and wants to live in peace with his family and plan for his future. We will not allow the Lebanese to be discouraged, and pushed to emigrate. As we are faced with more difficult circumstances, we will continue the struggle in defense of the values we believe in, and victory is always for the people of life and those with rights.
