الله يَقُولُ في الكِتَابِ لِفِرْعَون: إِنِّي لِهذَا أَقَمْتُكَ، لِكَي أُظْهِرَ فِيكَ قُوَّتي، وَلِكَي يُنَادَى بِٱسْمي في الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا. إِذًا فَهوَ يَرْحَمُ مَنْ يَشَاء، ويُقَسِّي قَلبَ مَنْ يَشَاء/God says to Pharaoh, I have raised you up for the very purpose of showing my power in you, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth. So then God has mercy on whomsoever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomsoever he chooses
الله يَقُولُ في الكِتَابِ لِفِرْعَون: إِنِّي لِهذَا أَقَمْتُكَ، لِكَي أُظْهِرَ فِيكَ قُوَّتي، وَلِكَي يُنَادَى بِٱسْمي في الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا. إِذًا فَهوَ يَرْحَمُ مَنْ يَشَاء، ويُقَسِّي قَلبَ مَنْ يَشَاء رسالة القدّيس بولس إلى أهل رومة09/من14حتى18/:”يا إِخوَتِي، مَاذَا نَقُول؟ أَيَكُونُ عِنْدَ اللهِ ظُلْمٌ؟ حَاشَا! لأَنَّهُ يَقُولُ لِمُوسى: «أَرْحَمُ مَنْ أَرْحَم، وأَتَحَنَّنُ عَلى مَنْ أَتَحَنَّن!». إِذًا فَٱلأَمْرُ لا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِالإِنسَانِ الَّذي يُرِيد، ولا بِالإِنسَانِ الَّذي يَسْعَى، بَلِ بِاللهِ الَّذي يَرْحَم؛ لأَنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ في الكِتَابِ لِفِرْعَون: «إِنِّي لِهذَا أَقَمْتُكَ، لِكَي أُظْهِرَ فِيكَ قُوَّتي، وَلِكَي يُنَادَى بِٱسْمي في الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا». إِذًا فَهوَ يَرْحَمُ مَنْ يَشَاء، ويُقَسِّي قَلبَ مَنْ يَشَاء”.
God says to Pharaoh, I have raised you up for the very purpose of showing my power in you, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth. So then he has mercy on whomsoever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomsoever he chooses Letter to the Romans 09/14-18/:”What then are we to say? Is there injustice on God’s part? By no means! For he says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.’So it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God who shows mercy. For the scripture says to Pharaoh, ‘I have raised you up for the very purpose of showing my power in you, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.’So then he has mercy on whomsoever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomsoever he chooses.”
So also the Son of Man is about to suffer at their hands Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 17/09-13/:”As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus ordered them, ‘Tell no one about the vision until after the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.’And the disciples asked him, ‘Why, then, do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?’He replied, ‘Elijah is indeed coming and will restore all things; but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but they did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of Man is about to suffer at their hands.’Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them about John the Baptist.”
