إنجيل القدّيس يوحنّا06/من40حتى44/:”قالَ الربُّ يَسوعُ: «هذِهِ مَشِيئَةُ أَبِي، أَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يُشَاهِدُ الٱبْنَ ويُؤْمِنُ بِهِ، يَنَالُ حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّة، وأَنَا أُقِيمُهُ في اليَومِ الأَخِير». فَأَخَذَ اليَهُودُ يَتَذَمَّرُونَ عَلى يَسُوع، لأَنَّهُ قَال: «أَنَا هُوَ الْخُبْزُ الَّذي نَزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء». وكَانُوا يَقُولُون: «أَلَيْسَ هذَا يَسُوعَ بْنَ يُوسُف، ونَحْنُ نَعْرِفُ أَبَاهُ وأُمَّهُ؟ فَكَيْفَ يَقُولُ الآن: إِنِّي نَزَلْتُ مِنَ السَّمَاء؟». أَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهُم: «لا تَتَذَمَّرُوا في ما بَيْنَكُم. لا أَحَدَ يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ إِليَّ، مَا لَمْ يَجْتَذِبْهُ الآبُ الَّذي أَرْسَلَنِي، وأَنَا أُقِيمُهُ في اليَومِ الأَخِير.”

أَسْأَلُكُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة: كُونُوا مِثْلِي، لأَنِّي أَنَا مِثْلُكُم. إِنَّكُم مَا أَسَأْتُمْ إِلَيَّ في شَيء
رسالة القدّيس بولس إلى أهل غلاطية04/من08حتى12/:”يا إِخوَتي، حِينَ كُنْتُم لا تَعْرِفُونَ الله، عَبَدْتُمْ مَنْ لَيْسُوا بِطَبِيعَتِهِم آلِهَة. أَمَّا الآن، وقَدْ عَرَفْتُمُ الله، بَلْ بالأَحْرَى عَرَفَكُمُ الله، فَكَيْفَ تَرْجِعُونَ إِلى الأَركَانِ الهَزِيلَةِ والحَقِيرَة، الَّتي تُرِيدُونَ مِنْ جَدِيدٍ أَنْ تَعْبُدُوهَا؟ إِنَّكُم تُرَاقِبُونَ الأَيَّامَ والشُّهُورَ والفُصُولَ والسِّنِين!أَخْشَى أَنْ أَكُونَ قَدْ تَعِبْتُ عَبَثًا مِنْ أَجلِكُم! أَسْأَلُكُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة: كُونُوا مِثْلِي، لأَنِّي أَنَا مِثْلُكُم. إِنَّكُم مَا أَسَأْتُمْ إِلَيَّ في شَيء!”.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 06/40-44/:”This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last day.’Then the Jews began to complain about him because he said, ‘I am the bread that came down from heaven.’They were saying, ‘Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, “I have come down from heaven”?’Jesus answered them, ‘Do not complain among yourselves. No one can come to me unless drawn by the Father who sent me; and I will raise that person up on the last day.”.

Friends, I beg you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have done me no wrong
Letter to the Galatians 04/08-12/:”Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods. Now, however, that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and beggarly elemental spirits? How can you want to be enslaved to them again? You are observing special days, and months, and seasons, and years. I am afraid that my work for you may have been wasted. Friends, I beg you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have done me no wrong.”
