Resistance Brigades Invade downtown Beirut, Reveal True Face of “You Stink”Movement

Abbas Zahri, one of the organizers of the “You stink” movement in a meeting with Jawad Hassan Nasrallah the day before yesterday. Does this mean that Hezbollah supports this demonstration? Will FPM and Hezbollah succeed in achieving what they want through infiltrating the civil society’s righteous demonstration regarding the garbage issue? Yesterday, the civil society called for a demonstration to express their anger towards the government’s foot-dragging in resolving the garbage crisis. But the demonstration lost control in Downtown Beirut after it was infiltrated by “unknown people” who caused clashes yesterday and today between the demonstrators and security forces.

Ever since the issue of garbage started in Lebanon, the Civil society demanded the government to find solutions because of the environmental and public health danger this issue causes. The protesters yesterday were divided into two categories:

The Civil society, who are disgusted and frustrated with all the officials and politicians after they failed to address the most basic and most serious crises. Infiltrators and investors from March 8, headed by the Resistance brigades said to come from Kandaq al-Ghamiq area, who raised slogans against the basic citizenship rights. Most of these infiltrators were masked luring the security forces into a clash while trying to get through the security barriers through throwing stones, in order to storm into the Government building or the parliament by force.

These infiltrators wanted to benefit from the civil society’s demonstration in order to achieve their political goals, and stop the Government from convening next Thursday after the Prime Minister Tammam Salam decided to agree on taking decisions when the quota reaches 2/3 of the Ministers’ signatures, or even the quota of 50+1, depending on the nature of the decision that needs to be taken. The PM’s decision would cause major political losses to FPM since Gen. Aoun does not want the decree to promote the Army Officers to pass. This decree, after the PM’s decision, would need the signature of 18 Ministers, and would be published in the Official Newspaper. This means that the Government would surpass Aoun’s disruption of the Government and would be able to perform its duties.

The intentions of these infiltrators became clear when they set up tents in Riadh al Solh Square, announcing an open-ended sit-in until the cabinet solves the waste crisis, which will not be discussed until next Thursday. The truth about “You Stink” Movement: Abbas Zahri who is known for his close ties with Hezbollah has been thrown out of UAE for publicly supporting Hezbollah

These infiltrators can be identified on TV since they are hooded and firing Molotov and throwing stones on the security forces, injuring more than 35 of them, some of whom are at risk of death.

It can also be identified through the demands they raised, which differ from the reason for which this demonstration was held. They started demanding a constitution amendment, early parliamentary elections, and the resignation of the Parliament and the Cabinet. Their cover was blown when they demanded what Gen. Aoun could not achieve with his constant demands to hold early Parliamentary elections before electing a Lebanese President.

In a related context, series of questions arise regarding the Civil Socitie’s demonstration:

Isn’t the Presidential vacuum a true threat which deserves raised voices and protests? The Presidential election is considered the natural approach to resolve all the Lebanese crises.

Doesn’t Hezbollah’s participation in the Syrian war a true threat on the Lebanese entity?

Aren’t the Resistance Brigades, Saraya al Qalaa, or any other armed brigades which pop out according to the area’s needs considered a danger on Lebanon?

Isn’t the crisis of power outages considered as corruption?

Aren’t the thousand of generators in the villages and streets which emit toxic smoke considered an environmental threat?

Isn’t the lack of water delivery to the citizens’ homes who are forced to buy water in a country full of rivers considered corrupt?

Isn’t the robbery of the customs and airport revenues considered corruption and impoverishment of the state treasury?

Isn’t the new traffic law which could not reduce accidents or speeding or death considered corruption?

Isn’t the daily unexplained traffic considered as corruption and a waste of the state and citizen’s money alike?

Doesn’t blocking roads for no reason mean corruption and havoc?

There are friends in the civil society which we appreciate and respect, but my friends, those of you who say that the solution to the waste crisis is the government’s responsibility and not that of the civil society is wrong and a continuation of the crisis.

Is creating a landfill in any Lebanese region the responsibility its people and municipalities?

The creation of landfills is the State’s responsibility, and the local authorities must take the initiative to monitor the companies that use these landfills and make sure they abide by the health and environmental requirements.

The solution to the waste crisis begins with the integration of civil society with the government to correct any corrupt path, and not with breaking into government offices for purposes that have nothing to do with their movement.

هل نجح التيار العوني وحزب الله في تحقيق ما عجزوا عنه بواسطة “أقدام العونيين” منفردين، فامتطوا حراك المجتمع المدني المحق في شأن تراكم النفايات وفقد الجميع السيطرة على ما جرى اعتبارا من مساء السبت حتى مساء الاحد في وسط العاصمة؟.
ينشط عناصر من المجتمع المدني منذ بدء أزمة النفايات مطالبين بحق الحكومة بايجاد الحلول السريعة لهذه الازمة لما لها من انعكاسات سلبية وخطرة على مستويات مختلفة بيئية وصحة الناس العامة وخلافه ….
وليل السبت تنادوا للتظاهر معبرين عن غضبهم تجاه تلكوء الحكومة في حل الأزمة، فدخل مستثمرون على التجمع لمتظاهرين يطالبون محقين بحل ازمة خطرة تواجه البلاد قاطبة، .
المتظاهرون امس انقسموا الى فئتين:
المجتمع المدني، وهم من أصيبوا بالقرف والاحباط من المسؤولين والسياسيين على إختلافهم، بعد ان أخفق هؤلاء في معالجة أبسط الازمات واخطرها على حد سواء.
مندسون ومستثمرون من احزاب قوى 8 آذار، وعلى رأسهم عناصر من سرايا المقاومة يقال إنهم قدموا من ناحية “الخندق الغميق”، ورفعوا شعارات تتنافى مع ابسط حقوق المواطنة، ومن بينهم من كان مقنعا، ومن بينهم ايضا من استدرج القوى الامنية الى مواجهة خلال محاولتهم إختراق الحواجز الامنية، وصولا الى إقتحام السرايا الحكومي، او المجلس النيابي بالقوة ورشق الحجارة على العناصر المولجة حماية المقرات الحكومية.
فهؤلاء ارادوا الافادة من تظاهرة المجتمع المدني ليحققوا مأربا سياسيا، وأعين مرسليهم، على إجتماع الحكومة الخميس المقبل، للحؤول دون حصول هذا الاجتماع، بعد ان قرر رئيس الحكومة تمام سلام السير في آلية إتخاذ قرارات بتوقيع ثلثي مجلس الوزراء، او النصف زائدا واحدا، تبعا لطبيعة القرارات الحكومية المنوي اتخاذها، وهذا ما يراكم الخسائر السياسية للتيار البرتقالي الذي رفع السقف عاليا مطالبا باعتماد وجهة نظره لآلية عمل الحكومة، تلك الآلية التي تتناقض مع ما اقرته الحكومة بمرسوم ترقية الضباط، الذي سينشر في الجريدة الرسمية بعد توقيع 18 وزيرا، ما يعني فشل عون في فرض إرادته على مجلس الوزراء، وما يعني ايضا ان الحكومة تجاوزت التعطيل العوني واصبح بامكانها ان تنطلق في عملها.
ويمكن التأكد من نوايا هؤلاء من خلال نصب الخيم في ساحة رياض الصلح، والاعلان عن اعتصام مفتوح في الساحة لحين حل ازمة النفايات وهذا ما لن يتحقق قبل الخميس المقبل موعد جلسة الحكومة.
ويمكن أيضا التأكد من هوية هؤلاء، على شاشات التلفزيونات مجتمعة، مقنعين يطلقون على القوى الامنية قنابل المولوتوف، ويرشقون القوى الامنية بالحجارة، ما أسفر عن إصابة اكثر من 35 عنصرا من قوى الامن بجروح بعضها خطر.
ويمكن أيضا التأكد من هوية هؤلاء، من خلال المطالب التي رفعوها، والتي لا تتناسب مع طبيعة التظاهرة، فخرجت المطالب عن معالجة أزمة النفايات، ليطالب جماعة “طلعت ريحتكم”، بتعديل الدستور ،وإجراء إنتخابات نيابية مبكرة واستقالة الحكومة والمجلس النيابي، وما لم يستطع الجنرال عون تحقيقه عبر مطالبته المتكررة بإجراء إنتخابات تسبق إنتخاب ئيس للجمهورية، ينادي به جماعة “طلعت ريحتكم” اليوم فكشفوا المستور.
وفي سياق متصل، لا بد من جملة تساؤلات تضع النقاط على الحروف في تظاهرة المجتمع المدني.
الا يشكل الفرغ في رئاسة الجمهورية خطرا كيانيا على لبنان يستحق ايضا رفع الصوت والتظاهر ؟ وحل هذه الازمة يشكل المدخل الطبيعي لحل كل الازمات.
الا تشكل مشاركة حزب لبناني في حرب لا ناقة لنا فيها ولا جمل خطرا وجوديا على لبنان؟
الا يشكل فلتان السلاح خطرا على لبنان، من سرايا المقاومة الى لوء القلعة الى سائر ال “تفريخات”، كل منطقة بحسب حاجتها؟
أليست ازمة انقطاع التيار الكهربائي فسادا ؟
أليس إنتشار ألآف المولدات التي تبث دخانها في كل قرية لبنانية وحي وشارع خطرا بيئيا؟
أليست أزمة عدم إيصال المياه الى منازل المواطنين، الذين يشترون المياه في بلد الانهار، فسادا؟
الا يشكل السطو على واردات الجمارك والمطار فسادا وإفقارا لخزينة الدولة؟
الايشكل قانون السير الجديد الذي لم يستطع الحد من اي ازمة كنا نعاني منها سواء لجهة الحد من حوادث السرعة او الموت على الطرقات فسادا؟.
اليست زحمة السير غير المبررة يوميا فسادا وهدرا لاموال المواطنين والدولة على حد سواء؟.
الا يشكل قطع الطرقات بسبب ومن دون سبب فسادا؟.
في حراك المجتمع المدني أصدقاء نقدر ونحترم، ولكن ايها الاصدقاء، قد يقول قائل من بينكم ان حل ازمة النفايات مسؤولية الحكومة وليست مسؤولية المجتمع المدني، وهنا ايضا يكمن الاستثمار في شأن النفايات.
هل إنشاء مطمر ما في اي بقعة لبنانية مسؤولية اهالي المنطقة وبلدياتها؟
إن إنشاء المطامر مسؤولية الدولة، وعلى السلطات المحلية ان تبادر الى مراقبة الالتزام بالشروط الصحية والبيئية للشركات التي تستخدم هذه المطامر.
إن حل أزمة النفايات يبدأ بتكامل المجتمع المدني مع الحكومة لتصويب أي مسار فاسد او يطوي في جنباته ضررا وفسادا، ولا يكون بإقتحام المقرات الحكومية لغايات لا تمت الى الحراك المدني بصلة.
